Wow! Where has the time gone? Many of you have been asking when we will be meeting again - YES the itch for great networking is real!
Our first meeting will be held on March 1, 2022, at @8:00am hosted by The Sacred Self in Cornish. (snow date 3/8/22)
We have a few more openings for hosts, so please let us know. It's a great way to show off your business!One of our initiatives pre-covid was to develop an advisory board so that more of you can be involved in the direction of the group. No major commitment is required. Some of you have already reached out about this, if you are interested please let me know.
Here's an exciting opportunity
There is a new CDBG Micro-Enterprise grant program to help low-to-moderate income microbusinesses start or grow a business in York and Oxford County.
We are talking about a forgivable loan for a business up to $10,000!
There are a few Eligibility Requirements including
5 or fewer employees including all owners, at time of application
Low to moderate household income
A business advisor will be assigned to you to help you through the process. The folks at SMPDC are very friendly, and I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity. Learn More
A new way of communicating
Our email list keeps growing, and our blog has been too. This means our volunteers have been a bit busy! In an effort to keep you well informed without creating more work for our marketing team, we are updating our communication flow and changing it up a bit.
What does this mean for you?
Now, rather than creating an email campaign for every blog post, plus a newsletter, you will be notified about the new posts and have the ability to control the frequency of your notifications. We will still send out an occasional newsletter but don't worry, we keep it minimal!
Soon, we will be adding the business directory we had started as well as a members area on our website. We will reach out to those of you who had already started the process of adding your business information.
